About British Rail Class 55 by JPcreations

Here is my British Rail Class 55 diesel locomotive. Designed from photos, videos and blueprints of the real train this model was my first ever attempt at an MOC. Consisting of 2562 parts this locomotive is built on a modular style platform for easy access to the interior. The detailed interior features cabins modelled from photos including all controls in the correct places, a full main body interior with the, iconic for this locomotive, twin deltic engines, generators and supercharger and detailed sections under the bonnet either end featuring the air tanks for the vacuum brakes. this model also features detailed wheel elements as I wanted to try my hand at greebling. I would say that my biggest challenges for this model were getting it to look the correct shape and have the livery that I desired whilst limiting myself to using only currently available parts from pick-a-brick, as well as getting the model to be the correct width to run on standard track whilst still including all of the details. I hope you enjoy this model as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
