About Combined passenger and baggage waggon of the Rhaetian Railway – Bernina Line by Varda Furrer
This is my 1:42.5 scale model of a combined passenger and baggage waggon of the Rhaetian Railway. The waggon is featuring the dark brown and red livery of the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, as it was running in the famous Bernina Express.
There is a lot of SNOT going on, in particular the complete door and end sections of the waggon. The staggered depths of the baggage doors were achieved, turning sections upside-down, as well as sandwiching adjacent sides between each other, using bricks with side studs (stud facing inward), connected via flex tubes or bars.
The passenger doors together with the end section are built sideways over 7 1/2 plates, equalling 3 studs width. The "rubber band" in the middle of the doors is made by the thin side of different brackets.
All decorations (also some applied to window glass) are transparent stickers (drawn by myself), and the only non-LEGO parts are the wheels and steel axles by BrickTracks. All other parts are genuine LEGO parts with no modifications. No paint, no glue, no cutting.
