About de Blauwe Brabander by Ties van Asseldonk

The so-called "Blauwe Brabanders" where the flagship engine of the NBDS (Noord-Brabantsch-Duitsche Spoorweg-Maatschappij). These express passenger engine pulled the prestigious mailtrains on the route between Boxtel (in The Netherlands) and Wesel (in Germany). The engines where built by Beyer, Peacock and Company, and where the first 2'C passenger locomotives to operate in The Netherlands.

The model is built in 1:45 scale, and powered by an L motor hidden under the cab, and a train motor in the tender. The tender also houses a BuWizz 2.0 hub. The engine features moving internal valve gear, and has some interior details inside the cab. Wheels are custom parts from HAbricks, and the model does use some cut flex tube & chains (used for the headlights). For the rest, all parts are original LEGO parts and exist in the colours used.

As soon as the wheels become available, I plan to build the model IRL.
