About DSB Litra S1 by Tobias Andreasen
The Royal saloon carriage from 1937, known as the S1 at the time, was build by Scandia and was build like the modern steel carriages introduced in the 1930', its interior was based on sketches from (at the time) crown-prince Frederik 9.
At the time, the wagon was the longest in Denmark, standing at 23.5 meters long. and was taken in use on septemer 26. at opening of the first Storstrømsbroen.
