About Early Electro Locomotive by Bernhard Schipper
Electro-locomotive inspired by early german, swiss, austrian and/or american boxcab electro locomotives with coupling rods. The model is 4-wide in H0 scale and uses a Märklin motor chassis. I use strictly LEGO parts. The challenge was to create the locomotive with electrical interior. It is pretty hard to create realistic looking pantographs in H0 scale - after few designs trying all different types of pantos I recently decided for a modern half style pantograph. All LEGO parts are original - only the two isolators on the roof are made of LEGO knifes (4465a) which are cutted. The lanterns are made of the LEGO chain (92338) - the chain elements are removed). The Glas in the Lanterns is made of a 4 wide bar (30374) in Glow in the Dark Trans material. Everything fits in a 4 x 16 layout.
