About Fakks 127 / Bulk freight wagon / Self unloading wagon by Thomas / Ts__

Bulk freight wagon / Self unloading wagon type Fakks 127

History:

Starting in 1982, 100 of these wagons were built in France for the GDR. With stored compressed air, the wagons can unload their own cargo on both sides.
Today, these wagons are still in use by Deutsche Bahn (DB) in rail construction.

Model:

With these wagons the tilting function was important to me. The wagon can also be put in tilt position for dioramas and holds this position even with load.

I have built the wagon in 3 colors. All 3 colors were in use at different times.
red brown: original color
yellow: 6 wagons were leased to Wiebe company and painted yellow
red: the 6 wagons of the Wiebe company were taken over by the DB after the end of the rental contract and painted red.
