About Great Central Railway 9F/ LNER N5 0-6-2T by OWEN MESCHTER

This is a locomotive built by the Great Central Railway around the turn of the century and was a mostly standard design. The locomotive was actually the first locomotive in the UK to use a Belpaire firebox as well. It hauled commuter trains and goods around the midlands until all were cut up in the mid-50's when their working life was over.

The model features a glowing firebox when the boiler is pushed inwards and a fully detailed cab interior. It lacks connecting rods since they are a specific design and the custom components for this were not delivered in time. Overall the model is about 95% done.
