About GWR Small Prairie 4566 by Andrew Harvey

A model of a Great Western Railway 4500 Class 2-6-2 'Small Prairie' tank engine.
Designed by George Jackson Churchward, the prototypes were built between 1906 and 1924 for mixed traffic work on GWR branch lines. The model is specifically based on No. 4566, one of three preserved examples of the class, which is now based on the Severn Valley Railway in British Railways unlined black livery.
The model is powered by a Powered Up AAA Hub and PU Large motor, geared 1:1 to the driving wheels. It features LEGO's standard L size drivers, working connecting rods, and articulated pony trucks front and rear. The model is capable of negotiating R40 curves and points, and can pull a reasonable train due to the use of rubber belts on the drivers.
