The C12 is a small steam locomotive manufactured by the Japanese National Railways from 1937. A total of 282 units were produced, and they played a prominent role in hauling short-distance trains across various regions of the country. Many C12 locomotives are still preserved today, No.66 of them being operational and capable of running on tracks.
