About London & Birmingham Railway Passenger Train (Loco, 1st Class & 2nd Class) by This is a DUCK!

The locomotive is an Edward Bury's Bar-Frame design (see other entry). The coaches include 1 first class and 2 second class carriages, based on designs that would have been used on the London & Birmingham Railway roughly from around the 1840s. Despite having very similar bases, both types are built up completely different internally to allow for the curved pattern and windows of the 1st class and the inset paneling of the 2nd class. The details include the novel sprung-buffer design, leaf springs, axel boxes and steps for each of the 6 doors. The coaches also have bearings as the loco, even with traction tyres, is not very powerful.
