About Métro inspiration by Joris LXN

Here is a fictional steel-wheeled metro trainset, built to 1:13 scale, which I have named the "MF90". The model is an original design blending elements from the Parisian MF67, Marseille’s MPM76, and Lyon’s MPL75. The train shown here consists of two motor cars flanking a trailer car. It is fully automated; the trailer is equipped with a motor-compressor unit and air reservoirs, enabling automatic door operation with selective side opening. The interior is fully detailed, featuring seats, grab rails, and technical cabinets; under-floor compartments open to provide access to various technical components. The motor cars' under-floor areas house replicas of standard components, namely a "Jeumont-Heidmann" controller (for traction via resistance cut-out; non-functional), a functional "statodyne" (acting as a generator to power the interior lighting battery, remaining active even when the train is stopped), and traction batteries; a single motorized bogie is equipped with two XL motors. The cab also features a manual destination roll-sign system above the windshield. Provisions have been made for a full lighting system (LED ceiling strips, headlights, and signal indicators). A pneumatic system runs throughout the train, with the trailer supplying the compressed air required for the entire consist. While the train is currently configured as M+R+M (Motor-Trailer-Motor), it can easily be expanded to include a "neutral" motor car without a driving cab (M+R+N+M) or driving trailers (S+N+N+S), reflecting common metro configurations found worldwide. The consist must always include at least one trailer car, as it is essential for generating compressed air. A three-car set measures 3.338 m in length, 17.6 cm in width, and 21.6 cm in height.
