About MSF Sugar Mulgrave Mill Comeng AA (Rebuild) by William Thomson
The Comeng AA was one of the first 2ft gauge diesels brought into the Queensland sugarcane industry to phase out steam locomotives working at sugar mills in the 1950s. These types of locomotives have (mostly) spent their entire lives working hauling sugarcane for sugar mills all over Queensland. This MOC is based off of the re-built Comeng AA '7' 'Highleigh' which works hauling sugarcane for Mulgrave Mill in the present day. It is currently the only Comeng AA in Mulgrave Mill's fleet to be rebuilt and to be in active service with the other two Comeng AAs being un-rebuilt and out of service.
Note: The category says all scales are accepted so I assume that means non-standard gauge MOCs are allowed as mine here is on a 2 stud wide gauge to mimic real life and not a 4 stud standard gauge. Just in case though it doesn't mean that non-standard gauge MOCs are allowed in this category, please let me know and I can resubmit / send photos of the standard gauge version of this MOC.
