About Original Form Merchant Navy Class Locomotive by Edward Flynn

A LEGO model of Oliver Bullied’s best work. The 4-6-2 Bullied Pacific: the Merchant Navy. The model is depicted in BR Blue which almost all the class carried and is taking the identity of 35011 ‘General Steam Navigation’ which funnily enough was one of 2 which never carried BR Blue but I thought it would be good to show a ‘what if?’ version of 35011, which is the only preserved Merchant Navy loco which is going to be ‘un-rebuilt’ into its original form - the spam cam. I’ve previously entered this model into the Brick Train Awards in 2021 and I had only just finished the model then and it showed, since then I’ve completely rebuilt the loco so that it is more accurate (6 studs longer than it was previously), with more accurate details including a more detailed cab and tender as well as the edition as far more prototypical connecting rods with working slide bars that actually work as the engine goes along the track. The engine also fully works on normal LEGO track including the normal LEGO curves with working magnetic couplings so is able to pull carriages and wagons and is now my best and most reliable runner out of all my LEGO models.
