About Pennsylvania Railroad K4s #3750 by Liam K.

Pennsylvania Railroad K4s #3750 was built in 1920 by the Juniata shops as part of 425 pacifics built by or for the Pennsylvania Railroad. #3750 pulled Warren G. Harding's presidential campaign train and also his funeral train 3 years later. It was retired in 1957, and salvaged for preservation. It received #1737’s number plates, the first k4, to disguise it as the real 1737 was too far deteriorated to be salvaged. 3750 was given its original number back in 1983 during a cosmetic restoration.

My Lego model features custom 3d printed wheels and rods, and the keystone is made out of a cut lego brick. I also have a 3d printed keystone as well as this cut one. The model features a blunami sound and motor system. It is driven by 2 PF L motors. I spent about 3 months digitally designing this model and building it. The model is about 9 studs wide excluding cylinders and rods. The tender uses minifig hands for the trucks. The couplers are regular Lego train couplers with the buffers cut off. It also features BMR roller bearing wheelsets.
