About Pennsylvania Railroad N8 cabin car / caboose by Liam K.

The Pennsylvania Railroad N8 “cabin car” (caboose) was the final caboose built by the PRR in 1950 and 1951. These cabin cars were most well known for the prominent “trainphone antenna” on the roof of the cars, as well as the curved side grab irons that were later deemed illegal and had to be modified to feature both the curved and the straight grab irons

My Lego model features the curved grab irons, the trainphone antenna, and accurate decals. It also features BMR roller bearing wheelsets. The couplers are regular Lego train couplers with the buffers cut off. The model also showcases the yellow marker lights that all N8 cabin cars were equipped with while on the road.
