About Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) X30 boxcar 59861 by Matt Csenge

The Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) X30 class of boxcar consisted of a single 70'-6" boxcar, no. 59861. The car was constructed in September 1931 for the specific purpose of delivering tiller rig firetrucks from the American LaFrance plant in Elmira, NY. In addition to the double 6' side doors, the car featured an end door for loading and unloading.

Decals and lettering for my model were designed by Monty Smith and printed by OK Brick Works. Special thanks to Glenn Holland for assistance with the Youngstown door design.
