About Pennsylvania Railroad S1 6-4-4-6 “Duplex” by pikohan

The Pennsylvania Railroad S1 was an experimental 6-4-4-6 duplex developed alongside the production T1. Its Wikipedia article claims it was the biggest passenger steam locomotive ever built and it gained the nickname “The Big Engine” - almost as creative as Big Boy.

This ~1:48 scale build was completed in January 2025. It can be built with all official parts minus the No. 13 drivers. It has a Power Functions drivetrain and can navigate R104 track geometry. Two two sets of drivers are synchronized with a mechanical connection in the articulated chassis.
