About Queensland Rail 1720 Class by William Thomson

The Queensland rail 1720 Class is an Australian diesel locomotive with 56 being built from 1966-1970 by Clyde Engineering for operations in Queensland. They were an upgrade to the previous 1700 Class. They mostly operated freight services for the majority of their life but now most are retired. However there are still locomotives of the class in service running passenger trains on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. My MOC represents the locomotive in their standard Queensland Rail "Bronco" livery that most of them wore during their modern lives.
