About Stadler Eurodual by Simon Jakobi
I build the first version of this beast last year for the railway maintainance company VOSSLOH. There was the chance to showcase the MOC in front of the original. This was the reason why I had to complete the whole process of designing and building within a few days!
Although I was very proud of the pictures, due to the fast and furious attempt I was not quite satisfied with the first version. Obviously in the trained eye it had some weaknesses concerning proportions and detailing.
Now I can come up with an improved version. What is new? The engine gained some studs in length and I reworked the front and the roof in general. I was able to implement my idea with the "Bazooka-Miniblasteter-Shooters" to give the lights a slight but proper housing. Last but not least I added the new drivetrain from my DB V100 which uses the Technic Universal Joint 3L just underneath the turntable of the trucks. Two of the three axles of each truck are powered by a PF- or PU-L-Motor next to the trucks.
I build the whole project with the TLC-palette in dark tourquoise and did avoid rare bricks in rare colours from the first version on to the last one. That`s why you can easily adopt the design to most of the uncounted liveries which are out there rolling on 1435 mm tracks IRL. The pictures of my MOC in kind of a "TLC-inspired-livery" highlight this versatility.
