About The Mercury by Cort Christopher

This locomotive is the famous Mercury. A New York Central K-5b Pacific 4-6-2 which was streamlined in 1926 with Henry Dreyfuss' "streamline moderne" shroud. Two K-5b's were chosen to receive this streamlining: #4915 and #4917, this model is of #4915. For many years this locomotive pulled The New York Central's most luxurious experience on rails along the shores of Lake Erie. The model is 8-wide, built to 1:48 scale and is designed to fit all standard Lego track geometry. I have also created complete instructions for this build, a couple pages can be found in the flickr album link below.
