About Tweetsie Railroad #12 by Jonah Snyder
I've been building models of the equipment found at the Tweetsie Railroad theme park in Blowing Rock, North Carolina for about as long as I can remember. This model of #12 is the culmination of a number of designs as I've continued to refine and improve my craft. When it comes to my models, I go for a "less is more" approach, getting the outline and general look of the locomotive right, though omitting detail parts. The lining on this locomotive was done using Chartpak graphic art tape, which, I thought really helped to make the locomotive pop.
Below is a video of the design and build process for the locomotive, predating the addition of lining: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhVcQpJcG9s
