About W&OD 50 by robwd12

W&OD 50 is a Baldwin-Westinghouse "Class B" 50-ton, 400-hp Interurban Electric freight motor built new for the railway in 1920. It remained in W&OD service until 1944. It was sold in 1947, and went through a few owners before ending up with the Iowa Terminal Railroad, which today is called the Iowa Traction Railway. The 103-year-old locomotive remains in revenue service under wire with IATR, with the same number, 50.
Power is supplied from a geared-down Power Functions M-motor, controlled by an Sbrick. The battery is the smallest LiPo I could find on Amazon due to the limited space inside the carbody.
